Thanking Our God for All of You

Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
— Philippians 1:3-6

During this Thanksgiving season, we want to let you know just how much you mean to us. As it says in Romans 10:14, “but how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?”

We praise God for people and churches like you who are passionate about winning lost souls and who have sent us to Ecuador to seek out those lost souls and those who need desperately to hear about our loving and mighty Savior. Especially during these troubling days, we who have the Hope of Christ can shine brightly in the darkness.

May the Lord anoint you where you are and give you souls as well. We are all missionaries with the greatest privilege of all - to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in love.

During September, Becky’s brother and sister-in-law reached out to let her know that hospice had done a review of her mother’s health and that they had determined she was in the last stages of renal failure. They encouraged us to head back to Virginia as soon as possible in order to see her one last time.

It took us several days to make flight arrangements, but we made it back to see her. When she realized that we were there, she exclaimed, “Becky, you are here! Will you stay with me until I pass? I will tell Jesus hi for you.”

From that poignant moment, mom slipped away more each day, but she knew she was surrounded by her two children, their spouses, and some grandchildren. It was one of the highest honors for us to serve her during this time.

Becky was raised by generations of church planters and believers in Christ. Although this was one of the most difficult times for us, it was also one of the most beautiful. Having the knowledge that Becky’s mother is no longer suffering is paramount.

Her mother was the youngest in her family of eight, grew up during the depression, had lost two spouses to Cancer, and the last one to pass on to Glory in her family.

During September we hosted a team from Hidden Treasures Church in Kingston, Georgia. Our focus during that time was to visit, minister, encourage, and bridge relationships with a local special needs facility. The people on this team ministered beautifully and selflessly. Not only the students, but their teachers and director were blessed.
