Part of Unsion TV Board of Directors in Salem, Oregon
🌎 Summer Ministry Highlights
This past summer has been full of meaningful ministry moments. In June, we gathered in Salem, OR for our annual UnsionTV board meeting with pastors and directors. It was a time of vision, prayer, and planning for the work ahead.
Shortly after, we traveled to Panama to attend the Andean Area Retreat, where missionaries serving in Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, and Bolivia came together. We experienced a powerful time of spiritual renewal, refreshing, and intercessory prayer over each of our countries.
From Panama, Thom and I flew to Ecuador to meet with our UnsionTV team and reconnect with several local leaders. We were blessed to attend services at two of our Ecuadorian churches, and it was a joy to see the body of Christ thriving there.

✈️ A Special Trip to Florida
Just last week, we traveled to Lakeland, FL with Thom’s father, Bill (who is nearly 92!) and his sister, Kathy. After over 25 years of living there, Dad was thrilled to return and reconnect with friends, pastors, and prayer groups. It was a full and joy-filled week.
While in Lakeland, Thom and I shared about our current missionary assignment at one of Victory’s Lifegroups.
We also had the privilege of visiting Pastor Ollie Dalaba, one of Thom’s former pastors. We spent time reminiscing, hearing stories from Pastor Ollie’s 70+ years of ministry, and thanking him for the spiritual impact he made in Thom’s life.

🙏 A Testimony of Healing
One story stands out from our visit with Pastor Ollie—one that has shaped Thom’s entire journey.
When Thom was 15, he became very sick and was diagnosed with leukemia. Though his parents didn’t share the diagnosis with him, they called Pastor Dalaba to pray. During that prayer, the Holy Spirit gave Pastor Ollie a word: “Tomorrow there will be a change in diagnosis.”
The next day, after seven grueling hours of testing at University Hospital in Cleveland, the doctor walked in and said the exact words: “There has been a change in diagnosis—it’s not leukemia, it’s Crohn’s disease.”
While Crohn’s is still serious, it was treatable. It was at that moment Thom made a commitment to follow God anywhere and do whatever He asked.
Thom battled Crohn’s for years, enduring two major surgeries and many challenges. But one Sunday, as a visiting evangelist prayed over him, Thom knew deep in his spirit that he was healed. Despite the risk, he stopped his medication—and never had an adverse reaction.
Years later, as we prepared for missionary service, the Lord reminded Thom that he needed full medical clearance. Then in 2023, during his colonoscopy, doctors saw signs of past surgeries but no trace of active Crohn’s. Follow-up tests confirmed: Thom is completely healed.
Now he has medical proof of what God had already confirmed in his spirit—a testimony to the healing power of Jesus and a reminder of God’s faithfulness.
🙌 Thank You
Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and encouragement. Every story of healing, every church visit, and every missionary retreat is possible because of your partnership in the Kingdom. We're honored to serve, and grateful to have you on the journey with us.
May God richly bless you and the US church as you look to your mission field next door, around your district, and reaching into all the world until all have heard the good news of Jesus Christ and His saving grace.
In His service together,
